Graduates

for the year that only happens once - grad year

Grad photos are a special type of photo shoot! It wasn't very long ago and I was in your shoes. I want to get to know you and what makes you happy, so that I can capture your personality in your portraits. For your grad photos, I always recommend bringing a couple props that represent your hobbies or extracurricular activities. That could be an instrument, a ball, jersey, a book, 4H medals; you name it!!

FAQ - Grad Sessions

How far in advance should I schedule my session?

The earlier the better! Fall sessions are usually booked by summer, and spring sessions are usually booked during the winter months.

What should I wear?

Wear what you are comfortable in! If you don't normally wear dresses or a suit, don't feel the pressure to "dress up". Something as simple as jeans and a t shirt can make for beautiful photos. The only thing I do suggest is not to wear too busy of patterns or neon as they can be distracting (however bold patterns can look great!) and also to steer away from large logos or sayings...school spirit is always welcomed! I am always here to give suggestions, and you can feel free to send me your outfit ideas beforehand.

How long until I get to see photos?

I aim to have a few sneak peaks done within 3 days of the session!!! Full galleries can be expected 2-3 weeks after the session date.

What if there is bad weather on the day of my shoot?

Don’t worry, with NB weather, I leave openings during the week for reschedules. I will notify you asap if we do have to reschedule. I usually reschedule if there a 50% or higher chance of rain or if it is just too cold for a winter session. If it’s overcast don’t worry your pictures will still look amazing!

Should I bring someone with me?

Feel free to bring a parent or a friend as long as you’re comfortable in front of them, if not then you can also come solo! They can be very helpful with outfit changes, hyping you up, and holding your things.

I don't know how to pose at all. Will you help?

Absolutely. I will give you tons of ideas and directions throughout your session to help you feel at ease. I use a lot of prompts, motions and simple movements.
